Charlotte Y. Bama has been the Permanent Representative of the Elizka Relief Foundation in Geneva since October 2023.
As an associate emeritus researcher in human rights, she leads the foundation’s international advocacy efforts within the United Nations. Recognized for her cutting-edge research on the analysis of humanitarian crises and the protection of vulnerable populations in African countries, she regularly speaks at sessions of the United Nations Human Rights Council. She has distinguished herself through her active participation in nine consecutive sessions of the Human Rights Council (from the 54th to the 62nd session), representing the foundation through oral statements, as well as coordinating and moderating conferences and side events at UN Headquarters.
From Switzerland, Miss Bama coordinates strategic initiatives and global partnerships to amplify the foundation’s impact on the front lines.
Beyond her official appearances, she also uses her expertise in the UN system to support capacity-building by training and mentoring young talent.
